GORGEOUS RED BLACK LONG HAIRED GERMAN SHEPHERD PLAYNG BALL

Photo of a gorgeous red and black West German show-line German Shepherd female playing ball in the fall.

Dazzle our Red and Black Long Coated (Long Haired) German Shepherd

I always have a lot of fun throwing a ball for Dazzle. She loves playing and will chase it as long as I will throw it!

DOG PHOTOGRAPHY TIP

When taking photos of Red and Black Long Haired German Shepherds, try to find a green or blue background for the dogs. These are the colors that really compliment their gorgeous red and black coats and make them pop. As a dog photographer, I always try to very carefully choose the backgrounds for my images. Throwing a ball for the dogs to chase is a great method of placing the dogs just where you want them for the photograph.

  • Sharpened eyes only. I love sharp vibrant eyes, but I don’t like the fur sharpened on long haired German Shepherds and prefer the softer look. I defiantly do not want the background sharpened because that is not the focus point of the photo.
  • Adjusted Contrast
  • Increased vibrancy everywhere except on the tongue and black fur (increasing vibrancy on the tongue gives the dog an unhealthy overheated look. Tongues should be a pale pink. If vibrancy is increased on the fur it turns it blue and this is not a very attractive look.)
  • Added Copyright Watermarks. This is done to deter theft, and to keep track of my images on the Internet. I also use an image tracking company to track my images on the Internet. There are many good reasons that I do this, and maybe one day I’ll write a post about protecting your images.
  • Added Image Metadata
  • Added Black Border
  • Flattened Image
  • Reduced Image Size to 1600 px on the long side, and Resolution to 1 px. This makes it easier to upload to the Internet, and reduces the desirability for others to steal the image.
